The Best Books of It has a grace and form that are beautiful and astounding however Barry rather laboured this point.

The issue I had with the book was it was imagning rather slow progress through the history and the author tried to compare the mathematics with poetry. Chaotic Fishponds and Mirror Universes: History of Analytic Geometry. Nonetheless, an interesting stroll down the mathematical shops of memory lane, with a smidgen of poetry to boot.
